Spicy Apple Pudding
2-3 large green apples
½ cup sugar
2 tabs melted butter
1 tspn mixed spice
1 cup SR flour
1 egg
1 cup hot water
¼ cup brown sugar

Preheat oven 180°C. Peel and dice apples. Mix with the sugar, butter, mixed spice and flour. Mix in the egg and spoon into a well-greased ovenproof dish. Mix water, sugar, butter for topping, pour over in dish. Bake 30-40 mins.
