Apple Tart Tatin

75 gm unsalted butter
75 gm caster sugar
5-6 Granny Smith apples, cored, peeled & cut into wedges
bought puff pastry sheet
cream
icing sugar
Preheat oven to 200°C. Melt butter and sugar in a tatin dish (or ovenproof frypan) until it starts to caramelise, regularly stirring. Add apples, toss well and gently cook for about 8-10 mins, tossing now and again. Cut a large round of pastry (a little larger than dish) and place on top. Carefully tuck in the sides and cook in oven for about 15-20 mins until pastry is golden and has risen.
Then turn out on a serving dish and sprinkle with cream and icing sugar.
