White Chocolate Cookies

100 gm unsalted butter, softened
100 gm caster sugar
100 gm brown sugar
1 egg
1 tspn vanilla essence
175 gm plain flour
½ tspn baking powder
¼ tspn salt
175 gm white chocolate buttons, roughly processed or chopped
baking paper
Preheat oven to 190°C. Cream butter and sugars with a mixer. In another bowl, beat together egg and vanilla. Then add to butter mixture, little by little, mixing well. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well with a wooden spoon. Then add chopped chocolate buttons and mix well. Line baking sheets with baking paper. Roll dough into walnut-sized balls and place on the sheets well apart. Cook in the oven on a high shelf for about 12 mins. Carefully remove from baking paper and allow to cool before serving.
