Family Chocolate Cake
185g butter
2 cups caster sugar
½ cup water
1 cup milk
4 tabs cocoa
1 tspn vanilla essence
3 cups SR flour
2 eggs

Preheat oven 180°C. Combine butter, water, and sifted cocoa in saucepan. Stir over low heat until butter has melted and ingredients are blended, cool. Sift flour and sugar into bowl, add milk, vanilla and lightly beaten eggs, mix well, then stir in cocoa mixture, beat until smooth. Pour into well-greased and greaseproof paper lined 30 x 32cm baking dish. Bake in moderate oven 35-40 mins.
