French Toast with Fresh Berry Sauce

3 eggs
185 ml milk
8 slices thick bread (e.g. panettone)
30 g unsalted butter
250 g raspberries or mixed berries
¼ C caster sugar
1 T lemon juice
Whisk eggs and milk, place bread in shallow dish and pour mixture over, allow to soak, turn bread over and soak other side. Heat frypan, melt half butter, cook 4 slices bread until golden both sides. Repeat with other bread. Serve with berry sauce ? half of berries with sugar and lemon juice in blender ? remaining whole berries, and sprinkling of icing sugar.
