Quick Biriani

1 T oil
1 t curry powder
1 onion, finely chopped
4 cloves
1 clove garlic
1 t ginger
250g mince (beef or lamb)
2 C rice
4 C water
1 t stock
Salt and pepper
2 C peas
Heat oil and fry curry powder, onion, cloves, garlic, ginger. Add meat, cook until browned. Add rice then water and stock and seasonings, cover and cook gently 20 mins. Just before end of cooking, add peas and let them steam on top of rice. When rice is cooked fold in peas.

Suggested to serve with salad and chapattis
