Cajun Barbecue Beef

600g skirt steak
4 garlic cloves
3 tabs barbecue sauce
1 tabs ground coriander
2 t ground cumin
1 tspn cracked black pepper
1 tspn chilli powder
1½ t paprika
½ tspn dried thyme
1 ½ t onion salt
¼ cup oil
Cut the beef into 4cm strips across the grain and place in a shallow dish. In a bowl combine the remaining ingredients, pour over the meat and mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 6 hours, but preferably overnight, turning several times.

Heat a barbecue to medium hot. Rub the grid with a ball of paper towels dipped in olive oil and place meat over the heat. Cook about 5 mins on each side, turning several times.
